USES:
Grade A is used in the chemical industry, as a disinfectant for treating potable water and water in swimming pools, for general disinfection, paper and textile bleaching. Grade B is used as an oxidizing agent in the vitamin industry and for bleaching of fabrics. PACKAGING:
Special steel rubber-lined rail tank cars or tank trucks with top discharge, special containers of 1,000 dm3 consisting of a metal frame, a wooden pallet and a plastic tank, polyethylene barrels of 50-200 dm3.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE:
Transportation by rail and by road in accordance with the dangerous goods shipping regulations established for the particular means of transportation. Store in special rubber-lined tanks or tanks covered with corrosion-proof materials, which should be protected from sunlight. Polyethylene barrels with the product should be stored in unheated covered warehouses. Storage with organic products, flammable materials and acids should be avoided.
SPECIAL PROPERTIES:
Non-combustible and non-explosive substance. Hazard class – 2. Upon contact with combustible organic substances (sawdust, rags, etc.) may cause fire when drying-up. Sodium hypochlorite is an oxidizer and may cause irritation to skin and mucous membranes. In case of skin contact it may cause burns.
